Job Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and sustaining engineering of SMART/IoT-enabled products within the industrial sector, with a specific focus on the automated cutting, brazing, and welding industries. This role encompasses full product lifecycle management—from ideation through market launch—ensuring integration of advanced flow and pressure control technologies, embedded systems, and software algorithms. The engineer will work cross-functionally to deliver innovative, high-quality, and solutions that prioritize design-for-manufacturing principles (DFM).

  • Lead the design and development of SMART/IoT products, including electronic systems and control mechanisms for applications such as automated brazing and automatic manifold switchers.
  • Architect and implement embedded systems using 32-bit ARM Cortex microcontrollers (e.g., STM32 series) and high-resolution ADCs (e.g., ADS124 series).
  • Define and enhance software algorithms for flow and pressure control, ensuring optimal performance across.
  • Select and integrate flow sensors, pressure sensors, wireless modules, and actuators based on product requirements and cost.
  • Develop and present product electrical schematics, control system diagrams, digital specifications, and test protocols to hardware & software engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability, cost-effectiveness, and compliance with quality standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective actions for hardware anomalies and system-level issues.
  • Benchmark competitive technologies and promote adoption of leading-edge innovations.
  • Prepare prototypes for field testing and coordinate with Product Management, Sales, and/or Marketing for deployment.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation. Document engineering changes and maintain accurate BOMs and master data.
  • Provide ongoing engineering support for existing regulator, manifold, and torch product platforms. Lead obsolescence management efforts and providing technical support to end-users and internal stakeholders such as: Product Management, Sales, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives and process enhancements.
  • Train end-users and internal teams on new technologies and systems.
