Job Responsibilities

  • To report directly to the Production Manager on an ongoing basis and communicate all relevant matters pertaining to the shipment and delivery of goods for customers as well as arranging the shipment of finished product to customers worldwide.
  • To co-ordinate and supervise the loading area, loading docks, directing traffic, tactfully coordinating driver and loading activities as well as ensuring safe and secure packaging of finished products for transportation.
  • To liaise and collaborate with Management, Production and Non-Management staff at all levels in an advisory capacity on matters pertaining to shipment of customer orders and finished products.
  • To contact transport, courier and shipping companies to schedule and co-ordinate product shipments through dispatchers.
  • To maintain files and records of all shipments and courier deliveries in an organized and up-to-date manner.
  • To receive all purchase order forms and ensure accuracy of shipments, paperwork, counting and verifying all products on purchase order.
  • To organize and prioritize orders in a cost-effective manner effectively interfacing with warehouse, inventory control, and production planning personnel.
  • To manually pick orders from the warehouse according to purchase order requirements and prepare orders for shipment.
  • Cycle count as directed
  • Coordinate the RMA disposition and credit process after goods are returned
  • Inspection of material receipts, work in progress and finished goods
  • Enter supplier non conformances into designated SAP module
  • Inspection of weldments prior to painting

Job Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:    

  • Grade 12 completion
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office, Logistics software, SAP or equivalent)

 

Minimum Experience & Training Requirement: 

  • 5 years in a logistic environment or equivalent.
  • Knowledge or experience in a QA role (preferred)
  • Basic understanding of engineering drawings and tolerances
