Job Responsibilities

  • To report directly to the Operations manager on an ongoing basis and communicate all relevant matters pertaining to PythonX installations.
  • To participate in the installation of new or relocated lines with pneumatic/hydraulic equipment.
  • To immediately notify the Operations Manager if there is any safety hazard, any equipment not operating correctly, or if there are any questions regarding safety procedures.
  • To assist in the erecting and assembling of standard Automated Cutting Systems for Lincoln Electric Cutting Group.
  • Performs all task under limited supervision.
  • Leads and organizes project and repair work.
  • Assumes ownership of work task and demonstrates initiative to get work completed Assumes high-level ownership related to work prioritization, production needs, and safety requirements.
  • Troubleshoot, inspect, adjust, and repair automated machines, process systems, and robotic systems to ensure they are working properly and safely.
  • Performs preventative maintenance and repairs on equipment and systems (e.g., mechanical, electrical).
  • Evaluates and recommends equipment improvements to improve availability, capability and yield.
  • Mechanical expertise, to include, but not limited to, Precision Alignment, Rigging, Tensioning fasteners & belts, Lubrication, Mechanical drawings.
  • Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment, such as motors, Robots, conveyors, chains , fans, etc.
  • Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Adjusts, cleans and lubricates parts of mechanical devices as necessary.
  • Perform adjustments on various forms of process equipment.
  • Assists in configuring, commissioning, and testing new equipment while making sure all maintenance and installations are well-documented, working properly, and operating safely.
  • Travel between 15-26 weeks of the year or as the business dictates.
  •  In shop mechanical/electrical assembly of systems when not travelling

Job Requirements

Education Skills and Aptitude:    

  • Grade 12 - High School
  • Millwright license or equivalent
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills
  • Good understanding of electrical systems
  • Driver’s license
  • Ability to travel to USA and internationally
