PRIMARY FUNCTION
This role is an extension of the Sales and Estimation Team and will be responsible for preparing accurate cost and timing estimates inclusive of conceptual designs through the identified manufacturing processes of the related opportunity. Will require a strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes, cost drivers, and regulatory requirements and their associated environments. Responsible for complete estimation of the project and communication to the customer regarding the solicitation or Request for Quote (RFQ). Required to work cohesively and on-site at customers’ facilities. Willing and able to travel up to 10%.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate/manage quote data requests / tasks on a daily basis
- Support concept Design requests for related opportunities
- Effectively support and communicate with Sales / Estimation /Marketing team on data management of new opportunities at a proposal level
- Works across business to resolve or elevate issues internally that could potentially impede project progress for the customer
- Coordinates with Sales and Estimation Team
- Recommend and share strategic improvements that can improve internal processes.
- Assure customer relationships are managed appropriately
- Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 10 years’ experience in Aerospace Design and Applications environment
- Understanding of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project, etc.)
- 5 years experience designing in 3D modeling software UG/NX, CREO, CATIA or Solidworks. UG/NX preferred.
- Must have an understanding of Aerospace applications and uses
- Able to read blueprints, GD&T and understand print release and revision levels
- Understanding of departmental process flow including fabrication, machining, outsourcing, machine prints, assembly, and inspection
- 5 years’ experience in a product life cycle environment
- Strong time management skills, work well with others, the effective setting of priorities and sense of urgency, ability to clearly define roles, responsibilities and objectives
- Demonstrate ability to take direction and execute tasks in a timely manner
- Effective strategic and planning thought processes
- Able to work independently and self motivated
- Strong communication and presentation skills to customers and leadership
- Demonstrates a commitment to Quality, Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement
- Focused on customer needs, builds and maintains trust in customer relationships
- High school diploma/GED, certificate in Product Development, Machine Tool Technology or equivalent work experience
COMPLIANCE REQUIREMENTS
- This position requires access to export-controlled data regulated by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
- Employment is contingent upon verification of U.S. Person status as defined by ITAR, or the ability to obtain required authorization
- Candidate must be able to comply with CMMC (Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification) requirements, including adherence to information security policies and controlled unclassified information (CUI) handling procedures
