PRIMARY FUNCTION
Oversee the efficiency of the CNC machining Operations
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensures proper and efficient milling and turning techniques are demonstrated to provide optimal success.
- Writes the NCR and corrective actions along with training to prevent in future
- Research tooling for both cost and efficiency’s
- Works to delegate writing of CNC programs both internal and external
- Assist with scheduling machines and operators the use of teams to ensure time allocation per project are met.
- Help with the flight hardware, maritime and the “right first time” from machining side to reduce scrap rate.
- Collaborate with designers and other departments to plan and execute projects, ensuring timely and accurate production
- Lead programming, setup and operation of CNC machines ensuring optimal performance and precision
- Lead organizational efficiency initiatives, including process optimization, automation, and productivity improvement programs
- Mentor and develop technical leaders and teams, building a strong innovative culture
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize workflows and machining processes
- Act as primary contact regarding production timelines and project progress
- Additional job duties as assigned
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong commitment to quality, innovation and continuous improvement along with proven leadership skills and the ability to manage high performing teams.
- Strong background in Machining with proven experience implementing training in production environments
- Demonstrated leadership experience managing high-performing technical teams
- Documentation of proven strategies for future growth.
- Prove out new AI technologies in machining environment to automate software programming.
- Solid understanding of time management/unattended or “lights out” machining.
- Experience leading organizational efficiency initiatives while meeting production schedules
- Strong management and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value
- High school diploma/GED, certificate in Machine Tool Technology or equivalent work experience
