Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a Master Data Governance Analyst to play a key role in strengthening and scaling our global data governance framework. This role operates as a business‑facing data governance partner, working closely with data owners, data stewards, and IT stakeholders to ensure high‑quality, compliant, and well‑governed master data across the enterprise.
You will support the rollout and adoption of governance solutions, help translate governance standards into practical and scalable business processes, and enable consistent, reliable decision‑making through trusted master data.
This is not an IT support or technical configuration role.
Success in this position requires strong business acumen, hands‑on data governance experience, and the ability to partner with IT.
Data Governance & Business Partnership
- Act as a governance partner to business data owners and data stewards, supporting the definition, adoption, and ongoing use of global master data standards and policies.
- Coordinate and support the implementation of global master data governance initiatives, including solution rollouts, operating model adoption, and governance standards.
- Facilitate workshops and working sessions with regional and functional stakeholders to drive alignment, engagement, and decision‑making.
- Monitor adoption of governance practices and proactively identify opportunities for improvement across regions and functions.
- Ensure governance activities align with internal controls, audit requirements, and SOX compliance.
Process, Requirements & Documentation
- Translate governance decisions and business requirements into clear, actionable process and system requirements, acting as a bridge between business and IT teams.
- Document end‑to‑end business processes, data standards, and governance workflows to ensure consistent global understanding and adoption.
- Create and maintain functional specifications that translate governance and business needs into system enhancements, partnering with IT for execution.
Solution Enablement & Data Quality
- Support the design of governance workflows (e.g., change request types, approval workflows, notifications), working with IT to implement them in master data tools.
- Assist with data migration, validation, and reconciliation activities, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and compliance across systems.
- Develop and track KPIs and dashboards to measure data quality, governance effectiveness, and adoption; clearly communicate insights to stakeholders.
- Support change management activities, including training materials, communications, and onboarding for new or evolving governance processes.
What We’re Looking For
Experience & Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in data governance, master data management, data quality, or business process improvement.
- Hands‑on experience working with master data domains (e.g., Customer, Vendor/Supplier, Material/Product, Finance).
- Strong understanding of SAP ERP environments, including data structures and integration points, to support governance and business process outcomes.
- Experience with SAP MDG or similar master data governance solutions is highly desirable.
