Job Responsibilities

 

4 month Co-op Duration

 

Mechanical design/changes
Will need to work with Design Engineers, technicians and assemblers
Cost analysis and cost reduction projects & ideas
Analysis/rationalization of manufacturing process
Generating production drawings/ Generating required documentation
Generating electrical schematics
New product/machine implementation in production
Writing manuals for customized products
Working with the CSA authorities to get the products certified
Managing inventory & creating the Bill of Materials for projects
Other duties as assigned by Design Engineers or Engineering Manager

Job Requirements

Mechanical design using sheet metal and machining
Drafting using: Solid Edge (3D);Auto CAD
Analysis/streamlining of manufacturing process,
Basic knowledge of electrical circuits
Knowledge of Canadian codes and standards
MS Office applications
