Summary
The QA Inspector is responsible for ensuring that incoming materials, work-in-process (WIP), and finished products meet all applicable quality standards and specifications. Working closely with the QA Manager and production teams, the QA Inspector performs inspections, testing, documentation, and product release activities to support manufacturing excellence and continuous improvement.

Major Responsibilities
Quality Inspection & Testing
- Inspect and verify:
- Incoming materials
- Work-in-process (WIP) materials
- Finished products throughout all stages of production
- Perform inspections and testing in accordance with established Inspection Plans and quality procedures.
- Select materials and products for inspection and testing.
- Collect, prepare, and evaluate samples for analysis.
- Conduct measurements, inspections, and quality tests to verify compliance with specifications.
Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and maintain daily nonconformance reports, including QA records and SAP entries.
- Maintain accurate inspection, testing, and quality records in both electronic and hard-copy formats.
- Release inspected and approved products in a timely manner through the SAP system.
- Communicate inspection results, quality concerns, and other relevant information to the QA Manager on an ongoing basis.
Equipment & Process Support
- Assist the QA Manager in ensuring all products manufactured during assigned shifts meet quality requirements.
- Support the maintenance and calibration of inspection instruments and testing equipment.
- Verify that preventative maintenance requirements for QA equipment are completed as scheduled.
Continuous Improvement & Teamwork
- Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives that enhance quality, efficiency, and profitability.
- Collaborate effectively with production, engineering, and other departments to support quality objectives.
- Participate in company meetings, training sessions, performance reviews, and team development activities.
- Support and contribute to the company's GPMP and Merit Rating programs.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance
- Adhere to and actively support all Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Promote a safe work environment and responsible stewardship of environmental resources.
Position Requirements
Required
- Minimum 1 year of manufacturing experience.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow documented procedures.
- Effective communication and organizational skills.
Preferred
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience using SAP or other ERP systems.
- ASQ (American Society for Quality) certification or related quality certification.
- Previous quality inspection or quality assurance experience in a manufacturing environment.
