Job Responsibilities
General Job Description:
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep of the business, office, shop, and facility. Duties include inspecting buildings, general maintenance, repairing equipment, doing preventative maintenance on machines and scheduling repairs.
Summary of Essential Job Functions & Duties:
- Responsible for general maintenance and repairs on facility, shop, shop equipment, and property structures.
- Ensure heating/cooling and plumbing systems perform at optimum functionality.
- Supervise the installations HVAC and other contract services.
- Help schedule inspection of all alarm systems and quickly schedule repairs when needed.
- Conduct monthly checks on fire extinguishers, emergency lights, and fire systems.
- Monitor camera system to ensure functionality.
- Respond to alarm events.
- Respond to emergency situations.
- Review and update preventative maintenance schedule.
- Oversee maintenance of electrical systems and work with professionals as needed.
- Research and maintain relationships with vendors.
- Work with property manager to resolve any exterior issues.
- Work with other departments to coordinate maintenance tasks.
- Help with cleaning the facility.
- Stock café and conference rooms.
- Set up and teardown chairs and tables for meetings.
- Setup up offices which includes moving tables, desks, chairs, mounting whiteboards, and TVs.
- Picking up supplies and parts.
- Travel as required.
- Any other assignments as deemed appropriate.

Job Requirements
Requirements:
Education: Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent education. Minimum 3+ years of experience working in maintenance and manufacturing environment preferred.
Experience must include:
- Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems.
- Demonstrated experience as a maintenance technician.
- Physically capable of lifting 25 pounds.
- Strong understanding of general maintenance processes and methods.
- Experienced in operating a variety of equipment, including small hand tools.
- Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices.
- Excellent manual dexterity and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to communicate clearly, articulately, and professionally with upper management and employees at all levels.
- Ability to prioritize work and manage time completing multiple projects and tasks.
- Must have appropriate schedule flexibility, sense of urgency, motivation, and versatility to make a substantial contribution to the organization’s success.
- Ability to interact positively and constructively while representing company in a professional manner.
- Willingness to work “above and beyond” in order to meet company goals.
- Well organized, detail oriented and self-motivated.
- Must have excellent written communication skills.
- Ability to travel to other company sites as well as customer sites as required.
