Primary Function
The Human Resources & Operations Assistant serves as a key support resource for both the Human Resources and Operations functions at the Reno facility. Reporting directly to the HR Manager, this position is responsible for recruiting coordination, benefits communication support, onboarding administration, employee record management, and administrative support for the Reno leadership team. The most critical qualification for this position is the ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion, professionalism, and integrity.
Essential Functions
- Assist with employment requisitions, applications, pre-employment screening, and other related processes
- Coordinate onsite interviews, including scheduling, candidate communications, and visitor logistics
- Assist with onboarding activities and orientation preparation
- Create, organize, maintain, and audit personnel files and HR records
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee, compensation, medical, legal, and personnel information
- Support benefit communications, postings, handouts, and distribution of open enrollment documents
- Assist with HRIS data entry and employee record updates
- Assist the HR Manager with recruiting initiatives, employee engagement activities, and other HR projects
- Provide administrative support to the local leadership team
- Support special projects and departmental initiatives as assigned
- Coordinate meetings, events, and site activities
- Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, and business documents
- Maintain office supplies and administrative records
- Assist with visitor coordination, mail distribution, and communications
- Perform other duties as assigned and provide support in other areas as workload requires
Required Skills
- High school Diploma/GED or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of administrative support, human resources, or office administration experience
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to work independently while supporting a remote manager
- Must be flexible and able to adjust quickly to changing priorities and deadlines
- Ability to work both within a team and also work independently

This position primarily operates in a professional office environment within a manufacturing facility. The Human Resources & Operations Assistant regularly uses computers, telephones, copiers, printers, and other standard office equipment while supporting employees, applicants, visitors, and site leadership. The role requires frequent interaction with employees at all levels of the organization and ongoing communication with a remote HR Manager. The position frequently involves walking throughout the facility to support recruiting activities, employee programs, meetings, training events, and operational projects. The work environment requires the ability to maintain confidentiality, manage multiple priorities, and adapt to changing business needs while providing exceptional administrative and customer service support.
