Job Responsibilities
OVERVIEW
We are seeking a reliable, motivated, and hardworking Welder to join our team. Under general supervision, the ideal candidate will perform a variety of skilled mechanical tasks. Job tasks include fabricating, assembling, and repairing custom machines, and other duties as assigned.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on steel, stainless steel and/or aluminum components
- Fabricate, assemble, and repair metal components and custom machinery according to blueprints and specifications
- Layout, measure, and align parts prior to welding using squares, calipers, and other measuring tools
- Read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and work instructions
- Operate fabrication equipment such as grinders, cutting torches, drill presses, and saws
- Inspect completed welds to ensure quality, strength, and conformance to specifications; perform rework as needed
- Maintain welding equipment and tools in safe working condition
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper use of PPE and safe material handling practices
- Assist with equipment assembly, testing, and other production tasks as needed
- Complete required documentation accurately and in a timely manner
- Perform general duties as assigned and assist in other areas as workload requires
Job Requirements
REQUIRED SKILLS
- High school diploma/GED OR equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience in MIG, TIG, or Stick welding
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, weld symbols, and technical drawings
- Strong knowledge of metal fabrication techniques and tools
- Ability to perform basic measurements and layout using tools such as tape measures and calipers
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work safely in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Uncompromising attitude toward safety, quality, and customer service
- Strong working knowledge of basic hand tools
- Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Welding certification (AWS or equivalent)
• Familiarity with electrical components and wiring
• Experience working with custom machinery or industrial equipment
• Previous experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and work in awkward or confined positions for extended periods. The employee must frequently use hands and arms to handle, position, and weld materials. The position requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling of materials up to 50 pounds, with or without assistance. The employee must have the ability to maintain steady hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precision welding tasks. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus, including while wearing a welding helmet.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work environment is primarily in a manufacturing setting where the employee is regularly exposed to welding-related hazards. These include high heat, sparks, open flames, fumes, airborne particles, and bright light (UV/arc flash). The employee may also be exposed to moving mechanical parts, noise levels that require hearing protection, and temperature fluctuations. Proper personal protective equipment (PPE) is required at all times and may include welding helmets, flame-resistant clothing, gloves, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection. The role may involve working in tight spaces, at varying heights, or in proximity to other employees and operating equipment. Strict adherence to all safety policies and procedures is required.
