Draw Bench 2
Location: Toronto - 179 Wicksteed
Job Responsibilities
- To report directly to the Shift Foreman or Designate on an ongoing basis and communicate all relevant matters pertaining to Safely & efficiently Operate Subarc draw-benches in conjunction with reeler, speed feed Drum, or Stem Winder unit.
- Change dies as required.
- Maintain the copper coating solution at the proper concentration, Graphite solution at proper concentrations.
- Control the application of the surface lubricant and or graphite/Alcohol, when required.
- Service the de-scaling brush units and maintain the correct setup and operation of green rod offset de-scaler.
- Follow the drawing lubricant schedule and report mechanical and electrical problems to the shift Foreman
- Palletize the finished product.
- To perform MIG Butt Welding as required
- Review, understand, and follow the departmental procedures, CEW/EW Specifications, CSSW/SSW Specifications, Plant Rules and Regulations and the Job Hazard Analysis that are associated with the performance of this job.
- Abide by and actively support Lincoln Electric’s Environmental Health & Safety policies, practices and procedures with respect to protecting the environment, the conservation of natural resources and the Health & Safety of all employees
- To participate co-operatively as an employee within the company’s GPMP and Merit Rating System.
- To actively participate in company, staff or individual one-on-one meetings on an ongoing basis for the purposes of effective teamwork, enhanced communication and progressive co-operation strategies within the department as well as other departments across the company.
- To continually contribute to the profitability of the company and ongoing business operations by initiating, recommending and implementing continuous improvement strategies and initiatives.
- To conduct any general duties, specific projects and responsibilities as assigned or required by the Shift Foreman or Designate in a timely and professional manner.
Job Requirements
- High school degree or equivalent experience required.
- Read, write and do general math well enough to keep the records associated with this job.
- Able to understand and interpret the specifications and procedures related to this job.
- Self-motivated safety and quality conscious; requiring minimal supervision.
- Be mechanically inclined and able to lift at least 60 pounds on a regular basis
Minimum Experience Requirement:
- 1 to 3 years of Manufacturing Experience
- Knowledge to use computers
