Job Responsibilities
- To report to the Assistant Manager - Machine Division and communicate all matters or concerns pertaining to the crating of fixtures
- To receive product from painting area and mount any required accessory parts such as door hooks, mufflers, exhaust pipes and/or rain caps according to specification
- To place decals such as logo, warning labels and diagrams in the appropriate locations on the product
- To label crates/boxes as to serial number and manufacturing date
- To arrange first-piece check by Quality Assurance Inspector.
- To store in stock area as per procedure
- To pack finished product using cardboard boxes or wooden crates as may be specified for that particular item.
- To ensure safety, product quality, productivity standards and cost-efficiency objectives are met
- To obtain production ticket (traveler) prior to the commencement of assembly, complete the ticket in an accurate manner and hand-in the ticket at completion of operation
- Abide by and actively support Lincoln Electric’s Environmental Health & Safety policies, practices and procedures with respect to protecting the environment, the conservation of natural resources and the Health & Safety of all employees
- To participate co-operatively as an employee within the company’s GPMP and Merit Rating System.
- To actively participate in company, staff or individual one-on-one meetings on an ongoing basis for the purposes of effective teamwork, enhanced communication and progressive co-operation strategies within the department as well as other departments across the company.
- To continually contribute to the profitability of the company and ongoing business operations by initiating, recommending and implementing continuous improvement strategies and initiatives.
- To conduct any general duties, specific projects and responsibilities as assigned or required by the Assistant Manager in a timely and professional manner.
Job Requirements
- Grade 12 diploma minimum
- Computer literacy
Minimum Experience Requirement:
- 3 months experience using hand tools
TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT:
- Tape measure
- Small Hand Tools
- Air and power hand tools
