Job Responsibilities

  • Support the Business Units with legal advice, including in particular on commercial contracts and regulatory obligations
  • Manage litigation and settlement matters, including Product Liability type matters (with Attorney’s and insurance co. support/coordination); Interact with Business team to collect and analyse relevant information
  • Identify and assist in managing compliance issues (including routine verifications for distributor and supplier on-boarding) and risk assessments with Attorney’s support
  • Manage Ordinary Corporate Governance activities (notice of call, minutes of the meetings..) and update Corporate Books (verification, printing, publicitary fulfilments, asking for translation, sending the final version to HQ and SPB) and POAs
  • Assist in implementing a knowledge management system, including more standardized compliance documents, T&Cs, Commercial Contracts, Distribution Agreements, NDAs, etc.
  • Assist on M&A activities when needed (occasional) and Environmental law management with Attorney’s support
  • Give support to IP dept for Trademarks and Patent when necessary
  • Monitor for new legal requirements
  • Interact with other members of the EMEAR legal team

Job Requirements

  • Degree in Law
  • At least 6 years of professional experience in a similar position or with a law firm
  • Knowledge of all applicable laws, rules and regulations
  • Ability to prepare complex legal documents
  • Fluent in English and German; some ability to read/speak Italian and/or Spanish helpful but not required 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • High attention to detail
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • IT skills
