Purpose
The Welding Process Specialist serves as a key technical expert within the sales organization. This role supports growth and profitability by providing advanced welding process knowledge, training, collaborating with end users to improve welding operations, and representing Lincoln Electric across assigned accounts and territories.
Job Description (Duties and Responsibilities)
- Develop deep technical expertise in welding processes, applications, and Lincoln Electric solutions to effectively align customer needs with the right products and services.
- Conduct on‑site customer visits—independently or alongside the sales team—to assess current welding operations and identify improvement opportunities.
- Execute documented cost‑reduction initiatives, perform welding demonstrations, and provide post‑sale implementation support.
- Serve as the local subject‑matter expert for assigned welding processes and applications.
- Up to 50% domestic travel
Basic Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering; Welding Engineering preferred.
—OR— a minimum of 10 years of industrial manufacturing welding experience. - Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) preferred; must obtain certification within one year of employment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders from the shop floor to senior leadership.
- Hands‑on proficiency in all major welding processes.
- Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and effective prioritization skills.
- Positive attitude and strong team‑oriented mindset.
