Summary of the Position
Work is performed onsite in Winston-Salem, NC. This is an hourly entry level production manufacturing position and relocation is not available. Work environment is not temperature controlled.
Position Hours: 5:00am - 3:00pm Monday - Thursday. Overtime could be possible & may vary.
Job Responsibilities
Summary of the Position
Responsible for maintaining uptime on all Spooling/boxing machines by loading spools and boxes, threading wire into robos, setting up labels, printing labels, changing lot numbers, etc. Responsible for changeovers, scrap recovery and cleanup of machines and entire area. Sets up, operates and maintains the spooling/boxing machine by following company policies and standard operating procedures. Ensures a quality product by verifying correct components and quality standards such as weight, wire quality, spool quality, etc.. Must be able to complete necessary production paperwork correctly. Must be available to cover vacations/call ins when needed as well as supporting other departments when needed.

- Spooling/boxing operator= 80%

Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is frequently exposed to risk of electrical shock. The employee is frequently exposed to heat; toxic or caustic chemicals; vibration; and high, precarious places. The noise level in the work environment is sometimes loud.
Education and/or Experience
Required – High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Key Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Qualities Required
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills - Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and complete the required production paperwork. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills - Multiply, divide, add, subtract.
Reasoning Ability - Ability to solve problems through observations and data in order to improve the process.
Technical/Mechanical Skills – Ability to make basic mechanical adjustments to equipment and read appropriate measurement equipment to confirm product characteristics.
Essential functions – Must be forklift certified and be able to operate both the forklifts and pallet jacks safely.
Other Qualities - Ability to prioritize daily work load, high sense of urgency, good attention to detail and good attendance is required.
